As promised here are the pictures of my ideas from sketch to my finished tables.

My original front door

My first table design and stages I went through

This is the original door, would you ever think that this door could turn out to be the finished table at the end. Just wait to see the end result.
After i sketched out my idea onto paper the next step was to get the door to college and get it cut to sizes and remove all the hinges, locks, and screws and paint.
It took around 15 hours to remove all the paint, I used a heat gun and scraper. I also used Nitro morse, sandpaper , white spirit besides the tools like the tablesaw and circular saw and drills , screwdriver , gloves and safety glasses and apron.

The images show the steps in me removing the paint ,as each week went on the results started to show slowly ,at one point i thought would i ever get the paint off. When you get to the end and see the finished table you will see the distressed look of my table. It may of took time to remove the paint as i could of gone to a dip and strip place to get them to remove the paint  for me but I wouldn't of got the end finish.

Here you can see that i have fininished removing the paint, it took some time but it was well worth the effort. Doing this project at college has shown what i can do and what anyone can do if they set their minds to it.
Finally the hard work is over here is the finished table .
Let me know what you think about my design .

Just had my show at college it was amazing lots of people and they loved my tables. Just to think that in 3 weeks my tables will be on display at the G-Mex from the 15th of July to the 18th.  My tables will be on sale and commissions are welcomed at the show and through contacting me on doorabletable@yahoo.co.uk.
My best achievement of all was getting the space at the G-Mex for myself and 3 others in my group from the Remade in Manchester campus and 2 other students from the Moston campus.
